You should feel the joy your words brought to me and many others. Thank you for the way you shared this story. It made one of those “hard to believe or special effect like”stories real, true, and a reason for joy. I believe too many table stories are covered up with other words and actions but the table becomes the place where truth and love pull up a chair. Keep preaching.
-In our Ascension Day liturgy, our assurance of forgiveness includes “who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us; Christ rose for us; Christ PRAYS for us; Christ reigns in power for us”. I regularly need this, remembering that physical, scarred hands are gripping the throne in supplication and love for us.
-one of the reasons I love singing choral works is that we help each other FEEL. I can never get dry-eyed through the last 2 pieces of Messiah bc I know everyone around me also feels and believes what we’re singing. That joyful symphony is such a WAVE.
+BONUS! I’ve been listening to “Christ Is Lower Still” from Porter’s Gate. All this.
i remember the story but appreciate you speaking the fresh hope of that moment. i am saving it to read again.
I believe it because it makes me a better human.
Oh Jeff. You don’t know how I needed this. Thank you.❤️
